Mr. Marshall Short Ray Rushing

Mr. Marshall Ray “Short” Rushing, 73, died Tuesday, December 07, 2010, at his residence. Mr. Rushing was born August 9, 1937 in Union County, son of the late Theodore and Annie Baucom Rushing, he was the co-owner of Action Mechanical Heating and Air Company. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, Services to celebrate the life of Short will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Friendly Baptist Church, with Rev. Dustin Knight and Rev. Hank Parker officiating, interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Survivors include his wife: Marilyn Blackmon Rushing of the home, one daughter: Susan Pressley and husband Eric of Indian Trail N.C., one son: Blan Rushing and wife Lisa of Unionville N.C., five grandchildren: Megan and Seth Rushing, Amber, Ashley and Alex Pressley, one brother: J.W. Rushing and wife Frances of Indian Trail N.C., three sisters: Barbara York and husband Clarence, Dorothy Tarlton and husband Howard all of Indian Trail N.C., Cornelia Tarlton of Monroe N.C.
