She had a great love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured each and every moment with them. She was an avid sports fan with her favorite teams being the Carolina Panthers and the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald S. Hargette; 4 brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son, Wayne Hargette (Janet); daughter, Susan Goode; son, Randy Hargette (Penny); 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Lakeland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials and contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Disease Research. McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe is honored to serve the family of Mary Hazel Hargette.
