Mary Ann Lee

She was born in Union Mills, N.C., to the late O.J. and Mary Forney Holler on October 23, 1929.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Tom S. Lee, Jr., and seven siblings.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Michael Lee and wife Anne of Weddington, N.C.; daughter, Lisa Lee Sweet of Indian Trail, N.C.; four grandsons, Adam, Eric and wife Kelly, William and Daniel.

Mary Ann worked at Union County Social Services, and also in the Union County School system. She also volunteered at Guardian Ad Litem, American Cancer Society and several other charities in the community. Mary Ann was a graduate of Montreat College.

A service to celebrate Mary Ann’s life will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Central United Methodist Church in Monroe. Visitation will immediately follow the service in Central Hall. Burial will be private.
