Mr. Melvin “Daniel” Lowery, age 42, passed away Friday (February 7, 2014) at his home in Monroe.
Mr. Lowery was born July 11, 1971 in Union County, N.C., a son of Mr. Melvin Sherwood Lowery and Mrs. Evelyn Thompson Lowery.
Daniel along with his father, owned and operated a vehicle transport service called “Lowery’s Hauling Service”.
He is survived by his parents, Melvin S. and Evelyn T. Lowery of Monroe, (one) son, Melvin Daniel “D.J.” Lowery, Jr. and (one) daughter, Tristen Nicole “Sissy” Lowery, both of Monroe, also (one) brother, Jamie Lowery of Monroe.
The family received friends and relatives for visitation on Monday night (February 10, 2014) from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.
Funeral services were held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday (February 11, 2014) in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, conducted by the Revs. Jeff Smith and Marty Griffin, with burial following in Lakeland Memorial Park.
