Miguel an amazing person, always generous and genuine. Best smile and great outlook on life. He was a great friend, I was very fortunate to get to know while working in the auto industry. My thoughts and prayers go out to all his family and friends. - Kimberly Carver

During July and August of 2013, I had one of the most fun, fulfilling and memorable experiences of my life while visiting my uncle Beto, in Myrtle Beach, SC - where he used to live.

It is only now that I’ve had the privilege of being an uncle, that I understand how such love and kindness was possible, and why I was treated as his own son during those two months.

During the morning while driving or at home, he would play a Louis Armstrong record. He liked to start off the day with ‘What a wonderful world’. After that, he would let me play (sometimes blast 😅)all of my punk mixtapes. I was 13 years old after all :)

I remember asking him what he thought about me getting a Mohawk done, cause my mom and dad weren’t fond of the idea back home at first. He said he thought it was cool if I liked it, and said that he’d always wanted to shave his head as well - but had mixed feelings about doing it. We both agreed to be each others’ hairdressers and had a good laugh while doing it.

During those moments, he taught me some of the most inspiring lessons I’ve learned. Sharing his life experiences with me, and giving me some of the best life advice I’ve had. Most of those things I still try to keep in mind today.

Thank you for being that special, one-of-a-kind person that I’ll always remember. Thank you for being an example to all of us.

Your kind spirit will live forever within us. Te amo, Tío Beto!

I worked with Miguel at Gastonia Nissan and will always remember him as a genuine, thoughtful person who was always a joy to work with. He frequently spoke lovingly of his wife and family. I was deeply saddened to learn of his sudden passing, but I am comforted in knowing that Miguel loved God and is now rejoicing in the presence of the Lord. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. Praying for your strength and peace. Isaiah 57:1

Just want to give heartfelt condolences to the Gonzalez Family for the loss of Miguel. I know his daughter Stephanie Marcial and her husband, Michael. I know that all of you, especially his precious wife, Delmy, must feel so heartbroken. Miguel's passing was so unexpected and at the hands of one who will will only be forgiven by God.
Miguel was a young man at the prime of his life with miles to go. Yet, he has been taken away and now rests in the hands of The Lord.
Although I never met him personally, but the photo shown of him shows a wonderful man loving life, who must leave some great memories behind.
I know it will be hard for all of you in these coming days, months and maybe years. But lean on God. He has not forsaken you. Cry on His shoulders. Hold each other tight. Remember that tears and grief are displays of utter sadness and NOT weakness. They tell the story of how Miguel was loved. Reject the words of others who tell you to be strong. You are stronger. So, cry all you want to. It is the price of loving someone dear.
Now, I wish that Miguel's memories will be a blessing to all of you.
May God hold you in the palms of His hands and give all of you growing peace. Amen.
