Ormand Paul Austin

Mr. Ormand Austin, 74, died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Hospice of Union County. Mr. Austin was born January 29, 1937 in Union County, son of the late Raymond Alexander and Lucy Almatta Petty Austin, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: Thomas Austin and Rev. David Austin, and a sister: Sara Lee Hartis. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, Services to celebrate the life of Ormand will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 14, 2011 in the McEwen Colonial Chapel with Reverend Randy Jackson and Rev. Henry Haney officiating, interment will follow in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Survivors include his wife: Mrs. Sadie Austin of the home, one son: Paul Austin of Waxhaw N.C., one daughter: Amy Morris and friend Chad Burgess of Waxhaw N.C., three grandchildren: Jacob Thacker, James Morris, Samantha Morris, one sister: Emily Glaub of Charlotte N.C.
