Peggy P. Chaney, age 83, of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord and her loving husband of 62 years, Raymond N. Chaney. She was born in Union County on February 21, 1935, daughter of the late S.L. and Jane Polk. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Travis Keziah; and her brothers, Bennett and Harry Polk.
Peggy is survived by her children, Debbie Brown (Donnie), Delisa Cotton (Steve), Susanne Chaney (Leigh), Donnie Chaney (Shana) and Deidra Malloy; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren who she equally loved unconditionally; her sister, Rachel Pylant.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Lee Park Baptist Church. A service to celebrate Peggy's life will be 2:00pm Wednesday, October 10, 2018 with Pastor Chris Justice officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
