Peter Paul Bartman

Peter Paul Bartman Sr,.age 88, passed away May 12, 2020 at Novant Matthews Hospital in Matthews, North Carolina. He was born in Flint, Michigan, June 30, 1931 to Frank and Sophie Bartman. Peter married Barbara Jean Clark in 1952 and moved to Flushing where they raised their four children. He worked at Buick Motor Division of General Motors for 44 years as a tool and die machinist. Peter was a member of St. Roberts Church, a Third Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and served as an honor guard for Pope John Paul II during Mass at the Pontiac Silverdome in 1987. He was actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America as Scoutmaster for Troop 206. Peter and Barbara moved to Mc Kinney, Texas in 1996 and North Carolina in 2005. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he was a tireless worker and provider for his family. He enjoyed spending summer family vacations; camping, hiking and fishing with his wife and children. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren who were truly the joy in his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara of 62 years, and his son, Paul. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Clark of New Milford, CT, Colleen Krantz and her husband Gregg of Matthews, NC; a son, David Bartman of Las Vegas, NV, three grandchildren, Derek Krantz of Los Angeles, CA, Jill Krantz of Matthews, NC and Katrina Clark of Broad Brook, CT, a sister-in-law, Marie Bartman and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date in Michigan.
