Mrs. Phyllis Ann Graves Lowery, 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Carolinas Hospice, surrounded by her loving children. Mrs. Lowery was born October 11, 1938 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late James Osborne and Nannie Estelle Knight Graves, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Lowery Jr. Visitation for Mrs. Lowery was Tuesday at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Services to celebrate her life will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, interment will follow in the Altan Cemetery. Survivors include two daughters: Suzy Lowery Aycoth and Alpha Smart Helms Tucker (Jason) both of Monroe N.C., one son: Roy Lowery of Phoenix Az., one grandchild: Bryan Helms.
