Rachel Ann Helms

Rachel "Ann" Helms, age 71, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2017 with her family by her side. She was born in Union County on February 26, 1946, daughter of the late Millie and Fred Helms. Ann was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Lou Helms and Mildred Hargett and one brother, Jeff Helms.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Frank Helms; her daughters, Janet Deason (Monty), Julie Baker (Aaron), Bonnie Medlin (Larry), Faye Helms and Melissa Bullard; her three grandchildren, Erika Baker, Ashley Baker and Jake Medlin; and her brother, Bobby Helms (Mary Ann).

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helms will be held 11:00am Saturday, May 13, 2017 in McEwen Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
