Mrs. Rose J. “Billie” English, 90, died Friday, January 23, 2015 at Brookdale in Monroe. She was a retired educator. Mrs. English was born May 19, 1924 in New York City. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Allen English Sr., a daughter: Linda J. Estelle and a son, James A. English Jr. Survivors include her daughter-in-law: Denise English of Hudson FL., brother-in-law: Roland English and wife Dot of Monroe NC., two grandchildren: Jamie English, Andrea English, several great grandchildren. Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mrs. English will be Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the McEwen Colonial Chapel. Family will greet friends following the service. Interment will be at a later date in the Monroe City Cemetery beside her husband. McEwen Funeral and Cremation Service of Monroe is serving the family of Mrs. English.
