She was born on July 20, 1942, to the late James Bruce and Mary Ella Elizabeth Roderick Poore.
Formerly of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, Rosella enlisted in the United States Army after graduating high school. After serving her country honorably, Rosella attained her cosmetology license in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1965. When she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1975, she obtained an associate’s degree in business and became the owner and operator of her own hair salon, Adam ‘n’ Eve Hairstyling. Her customers, friends, and family considered her the best hair stylist they knew. Rosella would later add onto her home and moved her hair salon there until she finally retired. She also worked in several nursing homes, doing hair for many of the residents with some becoming like family to her. Rosella had many hobbies and enjoyments in her life including vacationing, cruising, square dancing, cooking and baking, and spending time with her family. Rosella also had a love for gardening, and her home was best known for not just her garden but her hair salon as well. Her love of Elvis led her to become a member of the local Elvis fan club. Her love for God, as a Methodist, made her the giving and caring person she was – always helping those who needed a little extra help or love.
Along with her parents, Rosella is preceded in death by her daughter, Angela Buchanan Argilan; as well as her fifteen siblings. She is survived by her loving husband, Royal Johnson Link, Jr. Rosella met Royal after her divorce when she joined a square-dancing club. Their relationship grew and their theme song became, “Could I Have This Dance” by Anne Murray. Rosella is also survived by her daughter, Donna Elizabeth Miller (Tom); three grandchildren, Joseph Eric Argilan II (Laurel), Donald Austin Argilan, and Taylor Austin Miller; five great-grandchildren, who brought her lots of love and laughter; several nieces and nephews, who thought the world of her and lovingly addressed her as Aunt Rosie; one sibling; several half-siblings; and son-in-law, Joseph Eric Argilan, Sr.
