She was born in Anson County on August 20, 1928, daughter of the late Marshall B. Stegall and Cora Stogner Stegall. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Cauthen; her son, Danny T. Cauthen and by her nine siblings.
She is survived by her sons, David Cauthen (Barbara) and Rick Cauthen; her grandchildren, Danyel Beavers (Kevin), Christopher Cauthen (Jessica), Ashton Cauthen (Maddy) and Kaitlin Cauthen and by her great-grandchildren, Eliana Ruby Cauthen and Charlotte Kennedy Cauthen.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruby Cauthen will begin at 1:00pm in McEwen Funeral Home's Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Marshville City Cemetery.
