What a wonderful person and an absolute Gentleman, the world is now a lesser place without Russ in it. I knew Russ and his former wife Gail professionally for over 25 years and I worked directly for him for over 5, you couldn't have asked for a better boss or a better friend, he was truly one of kind. I was also a neighbor to Russ back in Maryland and enjoyed our many trips to Atlantic City together, he truly new how to enjoy life and was always a pleasure to be around. No matter if you knew Russ for 10 years or 10 minutes he made you feel like you had been friends all your life. After Russ moved to North Carolina we kind of dropped out of contact but our friendship never faded, true friendship never does.

A beautiful life came to an end, he died as he lived, everyone's friend.

We are saddened by the loss of our cousin, Russell. There were six first cousins that basically grew up together, in our younger years (Ann, Wally, Russell, George, Earl, and Lois). Five more cousins (Mary, Charlie, Donna, Stanley and Doyle) joined us a little later and we were often referred to as the East Coast Cousins. We lost Wally and Earl way too early in their lives, then Stanley, and now Russell, still too early in his life. We all shared so many memories, laughs, highs and lows in our lives, and we loved to talk about some of those times, during our get togethers over the years. While we did not get together enough, as many of us moved to different parts of the country, we were able to pick right up from where we last left off in our conversations. We will miss Russell's, smile, humor, sometimes quiteness, and his love and concern for family and others. We know and believe that Russell is now in God's Kingdom, joining his family and friends that proceeded him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Brenda and her family as we, and they grieve in the loss of a wonderful husband, man, and our cousin.

Russ came into mine and Scott’s life when he and Mother fell in love. He immediately treated us like his own children. He was kind, giving and always told us that his home was our home when we had to move in with them due to mine and Scott’s unfortunate circumstances. Russ loved to kid around with you and loved to joke around with Scott and I. We will always remember his love, caring way he was with Mother and the kindness he showed to each and everyone of us. He will be greatly missed.
