Sylvia is survived by her husband, Sandy “Junior” Smith; her step-daughter, Ellen Hinson; her brothers, Ellis Mancil Simpson and Arnold Simpson; two grandchildren, Daniel and Joseph Hinson.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, June 14, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11:00am at Freedom Baptist Church, 5964 NC 218, Peachland NC. Interment will be immediately following the service in Lakeland Memorial Park, Monroe NC.
