The family will receive friends Tuesday June 3, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Rushing, will be Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Love Baptist Church, with Reverend Don Thompson and Reverend Don Lisk officiating, interment will follow in Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery ,beside her husband Norris Lee Rushing, who died in 1982. Survivors include two daughters: Mara Von Helms (Ricky), Robin Baucom (Mackie), grandchildren: Christy, Brandon, Randi and Christopher, great grandchildren: Cassidy, Ashlyn, Nathan, Cameron, Bentley, Korbyn and Easton, brother: Locke Helms, sisters: Louise McCardle, Emma Plattenburg.
