Virginia Starnes Stikeleather, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Sardis Oaks Nursing Home. Virginia was born December 28, 1919 in Union County, daughter of the late Jay Hugh and Emma Belk Starnes. She was also preceded in death by her brother: J.R. Starnes. Visitation will be Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, with services to celebrate her life at 3:00 P.M. in the Church Sanctuary, with Reverend Lynda Ferguson officiating, interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Survivors include her Sister-in-law: Hattie Starnes of Waxhaw, Special Friend: D.J. Houston of Charlotte, Niece Dolly S. Tyson (Aaron) of Waxhaw, Grand Nephew: Darin J. Tyson (Angela) of Mt. Holly N.C., Grand Niece: Katie T. Robinson (Ben) of Wilmington N.C., Great Grand Nephew: Reece Tyson of Mt. Holly N.C.
