To the entire Daily Family:

My deepest condolences. Wes was truly a friend to the end! He was always encouraging me to "be better not bitter". I was Blessed to have him on my Executive Committee (NAACP) and was kind of sad when he and Nicki moved away.
May you all feel God's hands upon you giving you peace and comfort. And, Thank You for sharing Wes with all of us.

I knew Wes from our Cam Ranh Bay Viet Nam Adventure. He was a remarkable man of good character. Seeing him again at the Seal Museum some years ago had us both recalling our (formative years). He will be missed but not forgotten. Fair winds and following seas my friend.

Nicki, Family and Friends,
My name is Dallas Gallo, served with Wes at Cam Rahn Bay. Very sorry for your loss. It's been a long time since all of us young guys served together, but it seems as if it was just yesterday. Take care and know Wes will be remembered.
Friend and Brother, Dallas

Always sad to learn of an ol' shipmates passing. We were in different mobile units, but all IUWG-1 sailors are brothers. Our deepest condolences & sympathies to you & family.

Hello Niki, I met you once at the IUWG Memorial service held at the Seal Museum on June 30th, 2010. I spent some time talking with Wes. I told him then and I'll repeat it again for you. I was blessed to have had over 100 great sailors working with me at Cam Rahn Bay and Wes was one of the very special ones. He always had a smile and he was always ready to do whatever had to be done.
I remember that he told me what he had been doing since he got out of the Navy and it didn't surprise me one bit that he was very successful in his Civilian Life.
I plan to call you and let you know what a wonderful young guy he was. Former Ltjg R.W. Glover

Wes and Nicky have been great neighbors! Wes and I both served in Vietnam, so we shared many memories. Wes steered me to a veteran’s assistance counselor in Monroe who helped me resolve some issues that never would have been taken care of if Wes hadn’t pushed me in the right direction.

We enjoyed our lengthy chats whenever we met each other doing our yard work, and I truly enjoyed our chats much more than the yard work!

Wes, you will be missed!!
