We were in a den of cub scouts as kids, school mates at Kinkaid and SAEs at Texas. He was a grand friend.

What a rare privilege it was to have been a friend to Bill Cochran .
Although we have not scene him in recent years  he remained in my memories as one of my close friends. Bill was one of a kind and a genuine and faithful person.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Cochran’s passing. Sending my sympathies and condolences.

Bill Cochran has been a friend, like a brother, with close friendships
s hared, like a time I was in med school,Bill called, and the next day we flew to Belize, our cargo, two troubled boys. We left them in the jungle with the jaguar hunting guide,John Littlejohn. The boys got better,Bill took many others;they strightened out their problems. Recently Bill and I reconvened.He shared his passion for shooting competition clays, intervals in our lives discussed over dinner.Then the cancer, radiation and chemo, we discussed each step and the surgery seemed to be a success.Bill confided the worst part:alone in the ICU,no family no loved ones,nurses too busy to explain,emptyness.He was so happy to go home. My husband Jason and I met Bill four years ago when he "interviewed" us when we wanted to buy a lot in Wildwood Estates.  While he didn't call it an interview it sure felt like one!  You could always tell Bill wanted the best out of everything.  Not only did he build a beautiful landscape, but he wanted all of the people who live there to be a beautiful community.  And he succeeded!  I have great memories of Bill stopping by to say hi and check out what we were up to.  Mary Peyton, thank you so much to you and Bill for welcoming us to the neighborhood.  Our sincere condolences go out to you and your family.

Bill was a valued member of our class of 1958 at The Hill School.  He was part of the "Texas boys" that made our class so special. Bill had special athletic abilities  as an end on our undefeated '58 football team and as a wrestler on the '58 championship Hall Of  Fame team.  Bill was quiet and led by example but he had an infectious laugh.  It was so good to see him at our 50'th reunion and the HOF  presentation and to learn of his many accomplishments. Our best wishes go to Mary Peyton, his children and grand children. 

Bill became a friend several years ago through some common endeavors and interests.  Bill’s kindness and generosity and Christian example impressed me greatly and will always be appreciated. Rest In Peace Bill and I look forward to seeing you again. 

Bill had the best laugh of anyone I have ever known--almost a giggle. My sincere condolences to Mary Peyton and to Bill's family. I have no doubt that our Lord will welcome and bless Bill's sweet, sweet soul.

Bill and I were classmates at Kinkaid, cub scouts and SAEs at UT together. He and I were great pals as kids and lived a block apart (Waverly and W 11th) in our childhood. He was a fine man and a good friend.
