William Sanford Walden

He was born May 17, 1919 in Chesterfield County, SC, the son of the late Mr. William Albert Walden and the late Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Honeycutt Walden.

Mr. Walden is survived by two daughters: Nancy Austin and husband Larry of Monroe, NC, Freeda Kenley of Charlotte, NC; three sons: Nolan Walden and wife Joan of Cleveland, Ga., Kenneth Walden and wife Martha of Monroe, NC, Ronnie Walden and wife Fran of Monroe, NC; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation Wednesday May 28, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Home in Monroe.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Walden will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 29, 2014 in the Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder Larry Austin and Elder Newell Helms with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.
