

Barbara Armstrong is a native of Chilton County, Alabama. She is a 1980 graduate of Thorsby High School. Barbara continued her education at Alabama State University, where she graduated in 1984 with a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice. She obtained her Master's Degree in Justice and Public Safety and a Paralegal Certificate from Auburn University Montgomery in 1986.
Barbara's professional career is indicative of her desire to serve others. She is a 36-year employee of the Alabama Attorney General's Office. As the Consumer Protection Specialist Supervisor, Barbara assisted Alabamians in resolving consumer issues from car complaints to home mortgage issues. Barbara also served her county as a member of the United States Army Reserve. She retired after 33 years of dedicated service, ranking as Master Sergeant.
Mrs. Armstrong also was a dedicated volunteer. She shows up for both big and small jobs. Barbara is a member of the Wetumpka YMCA Board of Directors. In this capacity, Barbara has assisted and sphere headed numerous volunteer events from the Halloween Candy Drive, Community Garden, YMCA Flea Market, and Candy Cane Run. She also served as the Wetumpka Basketball Booster Club President from 2012-2014.
Barbara Ann Armstrong is survived by her loving daughter, Adrianne Armstrong, and one grandchild.
The Armstrong family expresses how valuable Barbara's love has been in their lives and that they will cherish their memories with her for eternity.
A visitation for Ms. Barbara will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM. Both will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL, 36117.
