Belinda Darlene Daily, age 68, a longtime resident of Chicago, died peacefully in Montgomery, AL, on Sunday, February 23, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Daily, Chicago, IL; her parents, Herman O. Brown and Charlene E. Davis, of Chicago, IL; by her brothers, Anthony “Tony” Holliday of Lansing, MI and Herman Holliday of Chicago, and her sister, Helena Sharpe, also from Chicago. She was known as “Judy” by her family and many friends and was affectionately named so at the age of six by a baby sitter who cared for her and her siblings. Judy was born in Chicago, IL on April 13, 1951. She graduated from Farragut High School in 1969, where she says she spent some of her fondest memories singing in the choir. She was a wonderful, patient mother, daughter, wife and sister. Her sweet smile and calming presence will be missed by all who knew her and sought her company.
Memorial contributions can be made to Montgomery Humane Society or the ASPCA; of which she was a regular contributor because she loved animals so much. Visitation will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 10am to 11am, in the Magnolia Room. Burial will immediately follow in the Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
