Brunilda Irizarry

Brunilda Irizarry, age 85, of Montgomery, AL, entered the warm embrace of our Lord on March 21, 2026. She is preceded in death by her father, Luis Irizarry, and mother, Maria Dominga Negron, sisters, Alicia Dunne and Ana Luis Soto and brother Luis Irizarry. She leaves behind sister Nely Gearreald (Tull).

Brunilda is survived by her daughters, Maritza Gamble, Leticia Gregory, Elizabeth Alicea, Rebecca Alicea; Grandchildren, Krystal Rosario, Natalie Rosario, Melanie Roderick (Graham), Gilbert Marcia, Amanda Naranjo, Jonathan Alicea, and Maria Gamble; Great-Grandchildren, Hudson Roderick, Bennett Roderick, Jezias Alicea; and lots of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Brunilda was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, and lived there until she moved to New York where she resided until 2017, when she then moved to Montgomery, Alabama, where she remained until her passing.

Brunilda was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She dedicated her life to filling her home with love and joy.

A Funeral Mass will be said at 11:00 AM Friday, March 27, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 8570 Vaughn Road Montgomery, AL. Interment will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery 10505 Atlanta Highway Montgomery, AL.
