She was preceded in death by her husband Atticus Lester Laney.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Laney Tutwiler and Carolyn Laney Jackson; four grandchildren, Howard Scott Tutwiler, David Laney Tutwiler, Nancy Gilmore Gezzi and Gail Gilmore Alexander; three great grandchildren. Zachary Chase Austin, Alex Payton Askew and Dakota Ray Alexander. She has one granddaughter waiting to receive her into heaven, Angie Gilmore Balthazrr.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Armstrong officiating.
Private burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
