Darlene Elaine Cecelia Rezentes, 86, graduated to heaven peacefully at home on April 30, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur John and Jenny Caroline Abrahamson, sister, Jeneane Audrey Stein, and her husband, Peter Cabral Rezentes, Jr. She is survived by her brother Ardell Jerome Abrahamson, daughter and son-in-law, Lori Jane and Alan Edward Fortin, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Brooke Elaine and Nicholas Lane Henninger, grandson, Aaron August Fortin, and great grandchildren, Noah Scott, Olive Jane, June Elaine, and Isaac Eames Henninger. She was first affectionately known as “Dolly” and later as “Mema” to many. Darlene was born in Fosston, Minnesota, on December 14, 1932. She graduated from high school and went on to work at First National Bank in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where she gained a wealth of experience and knowledge that lead to her careers as a hotel manager, an accountant, and a computer portrait business owner. Darlene enjoyed many hobbies including playing the violin, painting, carving, sewing, crocheting, and traveling. She was an active member in church everywhere she lived and most recently at 2Cities Church. She was a humble leader and encourager and made friends wherever she went. The twinkle in her eyes and her sweet smile will be missed. Her Celebration of Life will be held at 2Cities Church in Montgomery, Alabama, on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Pastor James Williams will be officiating. Burial will be held at Fort Barrancas, Florida, on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 12:00 p.m.
