He was preceded in death by his father John F. Fitzgerald, Jr. and sister, Angela (Fitzgerald) Foster. Survivors include his mother, Nadie Fitzgerald; his daughter, Jennifer Fitzgerald Groves (Joshua); grandchildren Kaylee and Ryan, of Foley, AL; brothers, Dan R. Fitzgerald (Lynn), of Chelsea, AL; J. Darryl Fitzgerald (Debra) of Jasper, GA; Stanley K. Fitzgerald (Jeannie) of Savannah, GA; numerous nieces and nephews.
David was a loyal employee of Timco Trucking for many years. He had many lifelong friends. He was an avid Alabama fan and enjoyed watching football with friends. Due to COVID, a private family service will be held.
