Donald Mason Bass Sr

Donald Mason Bass, Sr. of Montgomery, Alabama was born on November 9, 1935 and passed away on January 14, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Donald was known for his kind and caring nature and was devoted to his many family members and friends. Mr. Bass was a proud mechanic and worked for Jack Ingram Motors for over 40 years. In his spare time he enjoyed cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide and spending time at the bowling alley. Mr. Bass is survived by his wife, Shelby Walton Bass, of 48 years and his children; Donald Mason Bass Jr., James Gregory Bass, Sandra Kay McDowell, Elizabeth Nell Haeussler, Wendy Anne Bass. In addition to his wife and children, Donald leaves behind dear siblings, Bonnie O’Steen, Ralph Walton, Michael Walton, and Shirley Walton Keesee and beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of remembrances, Mr. Bass’ family has asked that donations be made to Open Acres Baptist Church at 47 Maplewood Drive, Montgomery AL 36110.
