Elaine B. McBee

McBee, Elaine Blankenship, age 55, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 as she ended her extended battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her father, James Blankenship. She is survived by her husband, Steve McBee; her mother, Cathlyn Goolsby Blankenship of Montgomery, AL; her sister, Jane (Jerry) Moffit of Omaha, NE; stepdaughter, Reyanna (Chris) Kirby of Sparks, NV; three grandsons, Josh, Caleb and Jacob; mother and father-in-law, Ruth and George McBee of Montgomery, AL and her best friend, Kathy Wright of Prattville, AL. Elaine was a lifelong member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Montgomery, AL. Her visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with her graveside service on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are George McBee, Greg McBee, and Jerry Moffit.

Active pallbearers are Justin McBee, Tanner McBee, Bert Bertarelli, Bo Dreher, Blake Dreher and Sam Wright. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Moffitt Cancer Center, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL.
