
Elizabeth Bryant McGraw, a beloved resident of Madison, Alabama, passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on June 19, 1944, Elizabeth was cherished by all who knew her for her hard-working and loyal nature.
Raised as a child in Enterprise, Alabama, Elizabeth was a strong parental figure and an extremely hard worker. Her dedication was evident as she attended the Medical College of Georgia, graduating first in her class, all while raising her three boys.
Elizabeth served proudly and compassionately as a nurse for many years. She later worked for the state of Alabama, where she inspected nursing homes to ensure compliance and that patients received the care they deserved.
Family was extremely important to Elizabeth, and she upheld strong family values throughout her life. She is survived by her children, Sean McGraw, Kevin McGraw, and Patrick McGraw; grandchildren, Katie McGraw, Abbey McGraw, Dillon McGraw, and William McGraw; as well as her brother, Clinton Bryant. She was preceded in death by her father, "C.J." Bryant; mother, Essie Mae Bryant; brothers, Tommy Bryant, Harold Bryant and Jackie Bryant; and sister, Christine Knowles.
Elizabeth had a passion for birds, keeping birdfeeders around her home to enjoy watching them. She loved spending time at the beach and filled her spaces with music.
A graveside service will be held on December 13, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Alabama Heritage Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama, 36117. Elizabeth will be remembered as a cherished and beloved mother, sister, grandmother and member of her community.
