Elliott F. Neumann, the retired owner of Cajun Man Repairs and a 32 year resident of AL, died on 9/27/2020 after a courageous battle with throat cancer. Elliott was born in New Orleans, LA, on October 27, 1942, the only child of Marie Louise Elliott and Irwin Frank (Buck) Neumann, who both predeceased him. Elliott’s passion was teaching, which began during his 8 years of service in the Airforce, where after serving in combat in Vietnam in the 1960s, he learned the Space Communication and Telemetry Operations for Space Aircraft ARIA – which conducted the tracking and communications for Appollo 11 that first landed on the moon. While working on ARIA, Elliott taught many others the communications operations to enable the many flights to the moon that followed. Elliott continued to teach throughout his life. And, once he was saved by Our Lord Jesus Christ, his number one passion became sharing Christ with others for the past 36 years. During that time, he founded Broken Bread Ministries, a transitional home and program for prisoners, where he taught life and job skills and the Word and Love of Christ. Elliott also taught the Adult Sunday School Class for many years at Bethel Pathway Church, where he and his wife have been members for the past 30 years. He also taught a Rapha Christian based 12 step program in the prison system for 22 years. Elliott constantly witnessed, by his words and his actions, about the Saving Grace and Love of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 30 years, Brenda McClinton Neumann. He is also survived by his cousin, like a sister, Carol Lynn Carrone (Ronnie) of Slidell, LA. And, he is survived by his loving children: Elliott F. Neumann, Jr. (Jill) of Carriere, MS; Monique Rodriquez (Brian) of Carrier, MS; Todd M. Neumann (Shari) of Chalmette, LA; and Joyelle E. Willis (Daniel) of Clanton, AL; Kenneth Johnson (Tammy) of Millbrook, AL; and David Johnson of Millbrook, AL. Elliott is a grandfather to 13 grands and a great-grandfather to 8 great-grands. He also leaves behind many cherished friends, Pastor Adam Flowers and Pastor Jean Givens and his Bethel family. The family sincerely thanks all those who have extended prayers and acts of kindness during this difficult time. A Memorial service will be held at Alabama Heritage at 10505 Atlanta Hwy at 12pm on Friday October 2 with Pastor Adam Flowers officiating and Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Masks will be required. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial gifts in his name to any of these charities close to his heart: Bethel Pathway Church, PO Box 210428, Montgomery, AL 36121; Livebeyond.org (Haiti Outreach Ministries), or St. Jude Children’s Hospitals.
