DONALDSON, Florence D. “Flo”, beloved mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2012. Preceded in death by her husband, Delmas E. Donaldson, her mother, Delia Gantner, and her brothers, Nicholas and Dennis Gantner, she is survived by a daughter, Barbara Marshall (Robert); a son, Kurt D. Donaldson; grandchildren, Laura Williams (Reid) and Matthew R. Marshall; a sister, Geraldine DeFalco (Sam); a brother, Jerome Gantner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15, from 5-7 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, with her Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 16, at 2 PM at Alabama Heritage, with Rev. Paul Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. A member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Flo enjoyed her family, her gardening, and playing dominoes.
