It is with great sadness that the family of F. Morgan Simpson announces his passing on Tuesday, December 19 after an extended illness. A native of Birmingham, AL, Morgan graduated from Auburn University, obtained his doctoral degree from Memphis State University, and served on the faculty at AUM for 30 years. He loved teaching, loved people, and had a servant’s heart.
Morgan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Kitty, and his children, Laura (Mark), Mary (John), and Carl (Diana). Morgan will also be fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren, Amber, Drew, Brett, Jack, Diffly, Reed, Colton, and Everett, and by his brother Lee (Anne).
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22 at Grace Pointe Church of Christ (Ray Thorington Road) at 1:00, followed by a memorial service at 3:00.
