Bubba’s life was without the word ‘stranger’...it simply was not part of his cosmology. He greeted everyone in his orbit with kindness and either an invitation to hit some tennis balls or simply an opportunity to sit down and chat about the pleasantries of life. He was always cheerful and light hearted and willing to offer a helping hand to each and all. He truly was one of the classic “good ole boys”...southern charm, honesty, integrity, sincerity, authenticity, trustworthy-ness and the list goes on and on and on...

While Bubba’s translation likely took all of us by surprise...he will exist eternally in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Heartfelt condolences to his entire family...Bubba spoke fondly and shared intimately meaningful and reverent stories about each of you far more often than you might have imagined. Bubba’s sweet and loving countenance will remain ever-present and be literally as close as one’s heartbeat...love’s divine allowance promises us this certainty. Baraka Bashad.

Bubba was a highlight to our days at Tremont Floral. I worked there 35 years and seems he was there from the beginning. We visited at buying shows and even at his home in Montgomery with his hospitality in his boat. My kids loved him also. They send their prayers and thoughts to the family also. Bubba will always be in our hearts for his love of people and especially his children. Love you Bubba will see you again one day!! What a day that will be...

One of the greatest joys of all my years at Tremont Floral is knowing Bubba. He was a joy every time he came through the door. My deepest sympathy to his family. But one thing for sure, y'all have precious memories. I almost know many of you from all the stories he shared over the years, about 35 of them now. He will be missed by all of us out here in the floral industry; we will be wishing for one more visit from him!

Bubba was always a shining light when we would see him at Arrowhead Country Club. He always had a smile. Brad and I had the pleasure of sitting with Bubba and Gail at several Sunday brunches and sharing stories and events together. He will be greatly missed. Gail and the children have our heartfelt condolences for what I know is a great loss to this family.

I knew Bubba through Arrowhead Country Club. He was so friendly and outgoing, never meeting a stranger. He welcomed everyone and was always smiling. He will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
