Glenn Godbee

He graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 1974. He worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Wilson, North Carolina, and transferred to the main office in Akron, Ohio before transferring to the Firestone plant in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Glenn and his family moved to Montgomery, Alabama in 1988 working for Rheem Manufacturing until his retirement in 2009.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 43 years, Deborah R. Godbee, his son, Matthew Godbee (Amanda) Orrville, AL; grandchildren, Andrew Godbee and Lilly Grace Godbee; sister, Drenda Marsch (Dean) Acworth, GA, brother-in-law, Dale Siegenthaler, Senecaville, OH, sister-in-law, Barbara Duignan (Dan) of Uniontown, OH, niece, Janet Webb (Richard) and family of Newnan, GA, niece Laura Jarriel (Stephen) North Carolina, nephew, Alan Duignan (Kristen) and family of Hartville, Ohio, niece, Erin Fuller (Bryan) and family, North Carolina and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home 10505 Atlanta Highway Montgomery, AL 36117. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 9 in Alabama Heritage Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Fletcher officiating.
