My dad always had stories about Mr. Burt! The best were the unexpected visits to the house with a dozen donuts, lobsters from Maine, steaks or some other favorite of my dads. He loved Sonny like a brother and was blessed to be able to usher him out of this world. He was a special man and his presence in my parents lives will be missed so much! Love to you all!

One of the best things about the time I spent working at Burt Steel were my interactions with Sonny. The stories he shared, the knowledge he imparted, the books we would trade and discuss, all of these would always leave me looking forward to the next encounter with Sonny. He was one of the nicest individuals in my professional career that I have had the pleasure to meet. May you Rest In Peace my friend !

Some of my favorite memories are of lunch with Sonny several times a month---- Picking up Sonny for lunch was ALWAYS an adventure!!! Sonny was one of the funnest people to be around. You never knew what he would say next...He was able to effortlessly make everyone else have a good time even when he did sometimes (actually, quite often!) embarrass us but always left us laughing in stitches. He always put a smile on my face and will continue to do so whenever I think about him. He was a great friend and my life is so much richer for the experiences and memories I have with Sonny. Know that the mark he left is a great one, and because of this he'll never really be gone.
Our deepest condolences to all the family and all his close friends. During this dark time --we all grieve with you.

Sonny was a loyal friend, he loved his family dearly, he was a devoted father to Lee and Ray, love his grandchildren Jack and Sara Turner. Most of all he loved his wife Jill, from the first day until the last, she was everything he needed...
