RIDLING, Hannah Daye, 16, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, from injuries sustained in an accident on May 23. Hannah lived life to the fullest. She cherished her family, her many friends, and all of God’s creatures. She will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and through the ultimate gift of life to those in need.
Hannah is survived by her parents Jim and Catherine Ridling of Montgomery; half sister Erin Ridling of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandmother Jean Turner of Tampa, Florida; grandfather Hans Weise of Montgomery; aunts and uncles Sonny and Kim Ridling of Louisiana; Johnnie and Wes Atwood, Karla and Jim Chambers of Arkansas; Helen and Bobby Free of Texas; Sherry Marks, and Eric and Tanya Turner of California; and cousins Bethany and Kenny Claxton of Fitzpatrick; Debi and Briana Turner of California; Zack and Josh Owen, and Chris Landon of Arkansas; Mark Landon of California; and Terry Landon of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lt. Col. (USAF Ret.) Charles Turner, Della Weise, and Ardeth and Carl Ridling.
She also leaves behind her beloved horses Pippin and Dusty; dogs and cats Neville, Sam, Georgia, Chloe, Hawk, Misty and Gabbana, and her bunny Tater Tot. They will miss her love and care so very much.
Hannah recently completed her sophomore year at Trinity Presbyterian School. Hannah’s true love was her horses. For several years, Hannah competed nationally in equestrian events. Visitation for Hannah will be held Thursday, May 27 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. The funeral home is located at 10505 Atlanta Highway. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 28, at 11 a.m. at Frazer United Methodist Church, which is located at 6000 Atlanta Highway. Officiating will be the Revs. John Ed Mathison, Lester Spencer, Janeese Spencer, and Jeremy Smith. Burial will follow immediately at Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be selected friends and schoolmates.
