Mrs. Hellen Annette Truitt Murphy

She was the daughter of Moitt B. and Maudie Murphy Truitt.

She was a member of the Kline Johnson Sunday School class at Eastern Hills Baptist Church and had a passion for loving her family and enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

Hellen is survived by her son, Danny Daniel (Marcia); daughter, Debbie Daniel; Son-In-Law, Mike McNabb; grandchildren, Rissa Cloud, Denise Daniel, Michael McNabb, Jr. (Meagan), and Crystal McNabb; great grandchildren, Landyn Cloud, Nicholas Cloud, Nolan McNabb, Kaleigh Hall, and Emma Hall; and her brother, Floyd Truitt (Shirley). Her sister Evaie Culpepper sadly followed her immediately in passing.

Hellen is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna M. McNabb; and husbands, Maryland “Dan” Daniel and James E. Murphy. Also, brother Brenton and sisters Margaret, Francis, and Juanita.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Hellen to the Montgomery Humane Society.

A celebration of her life will be held at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 31st at 11:00 am with Dr. Kline Johnson and Dr. Rick Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30th from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
