Helon Holston Tatum, 80, a longtime resident of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010. Graveside services will be held Sunday, October 24, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at Alabama Heritage Cemetery with Rev. Paul Davis of Birmingham officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, John Miller Tatum; her parents, Joel and Grace Holston of Millry, Alabama; brothers, Asper Holston, Jasper “Bud” Holston, Troy Holston, Hilliard Holston; and sister, Glorita Fuller. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Greg Davenport; grandson, Jake Davenport; and sister, Louise Moorer of Birmingham, Alabama. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Susan Durden and the staff of Angels for the Elderly and Vista Care Hospice for the love and care they provided.
