Howard Cobb Alexander

He is survived by his wife, Martha Deffke Alexander; son, Dr. Howard Cobb Alexander, Jr. of Huntsville, AL; grandsons, Austin Cobb Alexander and his wife, Alana, Blake Edward Alexander and Grant Christian Alexander; granddaughter, Claire Elizabeth Alexander; great-grandson, Logan Blaise Alexander and great-granddaughter, Ava Grace Alexander. Also surviving him is a sister, Cora Alexander Thomas of Spanish Fort, Al.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Claire Marie Alexander Bone and his parents, Cecil Elmo Alexander and Bess Cobb Alexander.

Mr. Alexander received his degree from the University of Alabama School of Law and practiced for 36 years before retiring in 1987. He served in the Infantry with the 94th Division in World War II. He retired from the military as a Colonel in the Army Reserve. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Trinity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Michael Howell officiating. Burial will be private.
