

Jacob was born on February 11, 2001, in Montgomery, AL where he resided most of his life. He attended Alabama Christian Academy (K4-12) and graduated in 2019. He graduated from Faulkner University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice in May, 2024.
Jacob was a dedicated employee, having worked for C2 Technology since 2019, where his hard work and commitment were recognized recently with a promotion to Senior Technician. His dedication to his job and his coworkers was evident in everything he did.
Outside of work, Jacob was passionate about range shooting, law enforcement, working out, and trucks. He had a knack for lightening the mood with his humor and enjoyed joking around with his family and friends. His love for his mother was profound. Jacob had complete faith in God, and strong morals and values that were instilled in him from his mother and his family.
Jacob was a genuine, hardworking, determined, tech-savvy, car enthusiast, patriotic, God-loving man with down to earth values. He was a kind, gentle soul, full of life, and was loved by so many people. He was someone you could lean on if you were sad or needed a good laugh. He was always there for his family and friends. When you spent time with Jacob you knew it was going to be a great day. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jacob is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Bobby and June Tronu, great grandfather, Charles Arrington; grandmother, Patricia Tronu Arrington; uncles, Larry Tronu and David Tronu.
Jacob is survived by his mother, Traci Harris; grandfather, Randy Arrington; aunts and uncles: Bob Tronu (Donna), Barbara Tronu, Teresa Jansen (Ron), Angela Carter (Larry), Barbara Phillips (Michael), Suzanne Owens (Ron), Nonnie Garrett (Roger), and Carla Arrington; numerous cousins, his “brother” RJ Sutherland and his dog Bear.
Active pallbearers are RJ Sutherland, Justin Taylor, David Armas, Bobby Finigan, Tim Rohan, Jon Garnto, Britt Meeks, and Dale Dillard.
Traci would like to give a special heartfelt thanks to Teresa, Ron, and Angela for caring for Jacob while he was at UAB and being with us every step of the way; this time was very special and means more than you will ever know. And RJ, Ferrie, Langston, Karen, Ray, Lynn, Dallas, Jordan and DeeDee for the love they showed spending countless hours taking care of Bear, our home and everything else that needed to be done! Each of you are very special to me. Melissa, Suzanne, Kristi, and Ali, I cannot thank you enough for being with us on this journey. God blessed me when he brought us together in our Small Group.
A visitation for Jacob will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Church of the Highlands | Montgomery Campus, 4255 Taylor Rd, Montgomery, AL 36116. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 3:00 PM, 4255 Taylor Rd, Montgomery, AL 36116. A committal service will occur Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Alabama Heritage Cemetery, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, AL 36117.
