James "Jim" Franklin Bowden

James Franklin Bowden, age 86, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Jim was born in Highland Home, Alabama to James C. and Oma Dell Bowden. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Alice Manning and Ronnie Bowden. Jim is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn Gideons Bowden; his daughters, Jenny (Fred) Jinright and Leigh (George) Norris; his grandchildren, Matt (Brittany) Norris, Gavin (Erin) Norris, Stephanie Jinright and Josh (Ashley) Jinright; great grandchildren, Tyson Norris and Harper Norris; and his brother, Calvin (Gail) Bowden. Mr. Bowden served in the US Air Force before settling into his career with CSX railroad. He was a member of Eastmont Baptist Church who also enjoyed turkey hunting, golfing and vacationing in the mountains. A friends and family visitation for Jim will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home, 10505 Atlanta Highway, Montgomery, Alabama 36117, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with a burial in Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Jinright, Josh Jinright, George Norris, Matt Norris, Gavin Norris and Norm Smith.
