Mr. Jesus (Jess) Morado a resident of Montgomery, departed this life on March 31, 2024 at the age of 93. He was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1931. He retired from the USAF as a CMSGT and then retired as Manager of Employee Development from Southern Company Services in Atlanta, Georgia. Afterward he did consulting work in the areas of strategic planning and marketing research. He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in San Antonio, received a B.S. from the University of Nebraska at Omaha as well as a M.S. and additional graduate work from Troy State University. Mr. Morado was predeceased by his parents and his first wife, Carolina A. Morado. He is survived by his wife Lynette H. Morado, his sister Patricia Cantu (Gene), his son Jesse Morado, daughters; Judy Ann Bradley, Janet Morado, Joanne Milam, stepson Keith Watson (Debbie), and stepdaughters; Vicky Bryan , and Connie Watson. He leaves ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. While in the USAF, Mr. Morado worked in most of the Latin American countries and completed his career as an instructor at the Air University, Maxwell AFB. He was the Outstanding Airman for the Air University in 1968 and Chairman of the Airmen Council in Washington. Jess, as he was called by those who knew him, was greatly involved with education, counseling, and consulting work while in the Air Force and with Georgia Power Company and Southern Company Services. During his years in Atlanta, Georgia, he did volunteer work with the Georgia Adult Association. While in the service and with industry, he counseled and helped many people to progress and improve their education and job opportunities. Jess was an active member of The Holy Spirit Catholic Church. He and his wife, enjoyed traveling and fishing. He believed that one can learn from every person that we meet. The Services will be held at The Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Montgomery with military graveside services and burial at Alabama Heritage Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7th from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on April 8th at 11:00 am at The Holy Spirt Catholic Church.
