Born on July 20, 1956 and raised in Red Hill, AL, Joe was a man who never met a stranger, possessed an unwavering work ethic, and lived a life defined by quiet generosity.
A master stone mason and true artisan, Joe dedicated his life to a craft that required both strength and precision. His handiwork remains a lasting legacy across the Southeast, with beautiful stone structures standing in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia.
Beyond his professional craft, Joe was deeply committed to mentorship. As Scoutmaster for Troop 50 in Wetumpka, he led the troop to become one of the most decorated in the state, guiding numerous young men to the rank of Eagle Scout. In recognition of his distinguished service, he was honored with the Silver Beaver Award, the highest commendation for a scouting leader.
Joe’s life was anchored by his faith in Jesus Christ. A devoted member of Trinity Assembly of God in Montgomery, he served faithfully as a board member and assistant Sunday School teacher.
Joe is survived by his children, Joey Hall (Katherine) and Danielle Langhus (David); his mother and stepfather, Edith and Jim Connell; and seven grandchildren: Kaleigh Hall, Skylor Hall, Gavin Hall, Colten Frederick, Sarah Russell, Donald “Tripp” Russell, and Haislee Hall. He also leaves behind his siblings: Kenny Hall (Sue), Kathy Gwin, and Jennifer Connell; sister-in-law, Kim Hall; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Hall, and his grandparents, Forrest and Cloma Hall.
Pallbearers include Joey Hall, Kenny Hall, David Langhus, Mahlan Sears, Hunter Mote, and Brian Dennis.
