Jack and I played high school basketball and football together at Moultrie High School, Mount Pleasant, SC, but he and I were friends long before that through Little League and Pony League baseball. We, along with other friends use to play pickup football in Jack's parent's backyard overlooking Charleston harbor. What a competitor and friend. Although we lost contact over the years, he always came up during old team-mates get togethers and discussions about years gone by.

Sincere condolences from myself and wife Anne Ostendorff Melton and God Bless!

It is with sadness I express my sympathies to Jack’s family. As a long time competitor I must say it was a privilege to compete against Jack’s teams. He was fun to be around and always had extremely well prepared teams. I know he leaves you with many fond memories to sustain you in this time of grief. May those memories sustain you now and in the future, until you are reunited in God’s heavenly kingdom where he awaits you. With sincere sympathy,

Dean Delongchamp

Teri
I am so sad to hear about Jack. My kids played against him in high school and he was a class act. It always amazed me (and made me feel good) when he remembered us. Could've been because I was such a loudmouth in the stands. I miss you, love you and think of you more than you know. I'm keeping your family in my prayers and you in my heart!
Love you
Jane Franklin
