Martha “Joyce” Baskerville Hollingsworth, born April 24, 1939 to Ed and Mildred Baskerville of Birmingham, Alabama went to be with her Savior early Friday morning December 15, 2017. She fought a long battle with dementia, but fortunately was able to spend her time at her home living under the care of her husband Tom of 55 years and caretakers Melissa and Bettie.
Joyce was a graduate of Ensley High School class of 1957 and attended Montevallo and Auburn University where she met her husband, Tom. Joyce was a devoted, loving wife to Tom and an encouraging Mother to her two sons Philip and Mark. She was also blessed to have two daughter-in-law’s, Lupe and Sherry, and was a proud grandmamma to Zack, Austin, and Shay.
She loved her church life at Frazer United Methodist Church in Montgomery. She was a member of Encouragers Sunday School class and knew almost every song in the hymnal.
Joyce and Tom loved spending time together. They enjoyed trips to Auburn, Destin, cruises, and being in each other’s company. They were always and great example of how to live a good Christian life to their family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Frazer United Methodist Church.
