Julia Mae Smith, 87, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021. She worked at Baptist South for 11 years and enjoyed her time there. Everyone that she came in contact with loved her and were fond of her sweet spirit and beautiful smile.
In her active years she enjoyed crocheting and working in her yard.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Smith, and her son Glenn Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen “Kay” Smith and Gayle Smith; two sisters-in –law, Mary Bence and Faye Cox. Nieces, Nephews and extended family and friends; her grand puppies, Pattie Patt, Pattie Cake, Maddie and Majic.
Family and friends will assemble for a graveside service at Alabama Heritage Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 4, 2021. There will be no visitation.
The family would like to extend their grateful appreciation to Diversicare, Dr. Bolen, nurses and staff for their compassion and care in such a difficult time.
