Karen Lee Crawford

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Crawford; father, Thomas Nappier; mother, Nelda Nappier; as well as her brother, Mark Nappier. She is survived by her children, Andrew Crawford and Cassandra Cornwell; grandchildren, Tara Crawford, Haven Cornwell and Kacie Cornwell; as well as her sister by heart, Mrs. Mary W. and her oldest and dearest friend, Sandra T.

Karen was known for her caring and loving heart for everyone around her. She had the opportunity to demonstrate this through her job. She worked with nursing homes to ensure the level of care was what their patients deserved as well as spent her time informing and educating the patients. It was at work where she met her sister by heart, Mary. Their bond bloomed from coworkers to sisters quickly and they became family to one another. She often spoke of Leanne Cornwell as her angel on earth, someone who brought her comfort and support during difficult times. She had immense love for her family and adored hugs from her children and grandchildren. Karen favored exploring farmers markets and spending her time socializing. She also enjoyed painting and drawing, expressing her love for flowers through her pieces. She had the talent of sewing as well, creating lots of costumes made with love for her children and grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Karen will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at ChristChurch, 8800 Vaughn Rd, Montgomery, AL 36117.
