

Karl proudly served his country for 26 years in the United States Air Force. After retirement from the Air Force, he continued to serve his country with the Department of Defense in a civilian capacity. Karl had a love for computer games, especially World of Warcraft. He also found a love for Legos.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Alicia Olesen, and his parents, Aage and Myrtle Mansfield Olesen.
Karl is survived by his children, Kent (Sarah)Olesen, Debbie (Tim) Slauson and Robbie (Holly) Olesen, his grandchildren, Daniel Olesen, Thomas (Kristin) Olesen, Katie Slauson, Arrie Slauson, Ansley Olesen and Abby Olesen, his great grandchildren, Cian Slauson, Anna Olesen and Zoey Olesen, a brother, Larry (Linda) Olesen, a sister-in-law, Voncile (Richard) Stone, brother-in-law, Jack Daniels, and his mother-in-law, Lucile Fakes as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home 10505 Atlanta Highway Montgomery, AL 36117. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be at 11:00 AM at Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
