

Kenneth Ray Maddox, Sr., 90, of Montgomery, Alabama, formerly of, Wetumpka, Alabama, passed away on, Sunday, February 9, 2025. He was affectionately known as Kenny, Ken, Paw Paw, Big Daddy and Sandman by those who knew him.
He was a devoted father and husband whose love for his family knew no bounds. He found immense joy and strength in his faith, and his dedication to Redland Baptist Church and his family church, Liberty Home Baptist in Andalusia, AL was unwavering. He was the finest Christian and he loved the Lord with all his heart.
Ken’s interests included golf, where he was a long-standing member at Arrowhead Country Club, fishing, playing Gin Rummy, and dominoes. These hobbies brought him joy and relaxation, and he cherished the time spent with friends and family enjoying these activities. He was also a member of The Gideons in Wetumpka, AL where he continued to ensure the Word of God was made available to others.
Ken was a dedicated and hardworking individual, who always strived for excellence in his businesses. He was known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand. His dedication to his work and his compassion for others will be remembered by all who knew him.
Ken’s legacy of love, faith, and dedication will continue to inspire his family, friends, and community. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his spouse, Becky Maddox, his children: Karen Maddox Montz (Randy), Jason M. Maddox (Tammy), Georgiann Maddox Jones (Kevin), Meredith Maddox Henderson (Greg), Michael M. Maddox, Tommy Baker (Freida), Beverly J. Baker; Grandchildren, Leisa Maxwell (Josh), Jamie Kemp, Jase Maddox (Sonya), Amanda Brasington (Leon), Chris MacDonald (Cassidy), Catherine Smith (Brett), Jordan Maddox, Brandon Taff (Lori), Anna Marie Fuller (Ewell), Clint Justice (Janae), Blake Justice, Joshua Jones, Brooke Simkins (Nick), Brody Henderson, Georgia Kay Henderson, Ethan Baker; Great Grandchildren, Ashley Studstill, Amber Maxwell, Ava Maxwell, Hollie Harrison, Hannah Searcy, Kenny Lee Maddox, Jacque Maddox, Eliza Brasington, Chipper Brasington, Lawson Smith, Eli Maddox, Janet Justice, Kenley Sanchez, Hayes Simkins; Great-Great Grandchildren: Susannah Studstill, Parker Studstill, Alice Harrison; his siblings: William (Bill) Maddox (Annie Laurie) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr. Maddox was preceded in death by his late wife, Jo Ann King Maddox, his son, Kenneth Ray Maddox, Jr. (Jean), his parents, brothers, sisters and many loved ones.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12 Noon on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Redland Baptist Church, Wetumpka, Alabama. Funeral services will begin at noon with Pastor Bryce Cox officiating. Committal will begin at 3:00 PM in Alabama Heritage Cemetery,10505 Atlanta Highway Montgomery, AL 36117.
In Lieu of Flowers the family desires contributions be made to Redland Baptist Church, Gideons of Wetumpka, AL, CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship).
Alabama Heritage Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
