2013, following a long and valiant fight with cancer. Linda was born
on the 4th of July, 1942, in Pensacola, Florida, a daughter of the
late Thomas Joseph O’Leary, Jr. and the late Katherine Stinson
O’Leary.
Linda was educated in Pensacola and was a proud graduate of the
Pensacola High School Class of 1960. Following high school she
attended and graduated from Pensacola Junior College and the
University of Southern Mississippi. Linda and Edward J. Hunneyman of
Oneida, New York, were united in marriage on September 16, 1967, at
Richards Memorial Methodist Church, Pensacola and they enjoyed 45
wonderful years together. With the family’s moves Linda was able to
pursue her love of teaching in Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and
Alabama. Following her retirement from teaching, she served as
Educational Liaison with the American Association for Children and in
that capacity presented child safety information to elementary
children in the Montgomery area.
Linda was never happier than when she was spending time with her
children and grandchildren. She was an ardent Auburn fan and loved
all sporting events and traveling throughout the US and Europe with
her husband. Linda was an active member of Frazer Memorial United
Methodist Church and over the years served on a variety of committees.
Linda loved everyone.
